IJSSI follows a structured editorial and peer-review process designed to evaluate the originality, quality, relevance, methodological soundness, clarity, and scholarly contribution of submitted manuscripts.
How Your Manuscript Is Evaluated
From submission to final editorial decision
Manuscript Submission
The author submits the manuscript and required files through the journal's submission system. The submission should comply with the Author Guidelines and publication-ethics requirements.
Editorial Screening
The editorial team checks the manuscript for journal scope, completeness, basic academic quality, originality indicators, formatting, and adherence to essential submission requirements.
Reviewer Selection
Suitable manuscripts are assigned to qualified reviewers whose expertise is relevant to the subject of the submission. Reviewers are expected to maintain confidentiality and disclose conflicts of interest.
Peer Review
Reviewers evaluate the manuscript for originality, significance, methodology, evidence, analysis, clarity, references, and overall scholarly contribution and provide constructive recommendations.
Revision
Where revisions are required, authors receive editorial and/or reviewer comments and may be asked to revise the manuscript and provide a response explaining how the comments were addressed.
Re-Review
Revised manuscripts may be reviewed again by the original reviewers, additional reviewers, or the editor depending on the extent and nature of the requested changes.
Editorial Decision
The editor considers the manuscript, reviewer recommendations, author responses, ethical considerations, and overall suitability before making the final editorial decision.
Production & Publication
Accepted manuscripts proceed through the applicable editorial, copyediting, formatting, metadata, proofing, and publication workflow before being published as part of the journal's scholarly record.
Possible Editorial Decisions
The reviewer recommendation supports the editorial decision.
Accept
The manuscript is considered suitable for publication without substantive revision.
Minor Revision
Limited corrections or improvements are required before acceptance.
Major Revision
Significant changes are required and the revised manuscript may be subject to further assessment.
Reject
The manuscript is not suitable for publication in its current form.
Important Information
Reviewer recommendations are advisory. The final decision rests with the editorial team.
Peer-review timelines may vary depending on reviewer availability, manuscript complexity, revisions, and other editorial requirements.
Manuscripts may be returned for additional review where substantial revisions have been requested or where further expert assessment is considered necessary.
